Melvin Morin Jr., age 48, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at his home.

Melvin Morin Jr. was born on November 23, 1973 in Belcourt, ND to Melvin Sr. and Velma (LaFountain) Morin.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  He furthered his education at TMCC in Belcourt for construction and recently completed his HVAC certification in Fargo.  Melvin was the proud father of seven children, Melvin III, Mindy, Justin, Josie, Jerzey, Jael, and adopted daughter, Ronnie.  He loved time spent with his children.  Melvin currently worked with Custom Air in Fargo. He enjoyed watching sports, fixing cars, and going fishing, aside from being with his children.  Melvin Jr. will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Melvin Jr. is survived by is wife, Amber of Grand Forks; children, Melvin Jr. of Grand Forks, Mindy of Kansas, Justin of Belcourt, Josie of Grand Forks, Jerzey of Grand Forks, Jael of Colorado and adopted daughter, Ronnie; brothers, Shane Morin of Belcourt and Shawn (Miranda) Morin of Dunseith.

Melvin Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Amy Handeland-St. Pierre.

Casket Bearers are Kelly Wilkie, Staci Morin, Troy LaVallie, Cory LaVallie, Troy Martin, and Brad Trottier.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.  Music by Alvin Poitra.

A visitation will begin at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the church.  Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
