Mary "Puffy" Laducer, age 83 of Belcourt, ND, passed away on July 2, 2023, at Quentin Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility, surrounded by many of her loved ones.

Puffy was born on February 25, 1940 in Belcourt, ND to Louis "Lefty" Frederick and Helen Parisien (Peltier). Most of her life she was raised in
Belcourt, ND where she attended school at St. Ann's Catholic School then later went off to boarding school in Wahpeton, ND for a short time. She returned back to Belcourt where she completed her education at Belcourt school. Puffy left school early to help her mother raise her younger siblings. It is there she found her true calling for taking care of others.

Puffy met the love of her life, Roger Laducer, they later married on February 9, 1961. They went on to raise seven children, with many others along the way. Even though her hands were full with the ones she cared for, she still managed to work many jobs including, Belcourt head start, Philmars sewing the famous Zubaz pant, and working the numerous positions at the centersite.

Family was always the most important thing to her, especially her own. She took pride in her relationship with others, she showed that in the manybellies she filled, the ear she lent, or the bed she provided. You could catch Puffy crafting, sewing or making her well known delicious bread. She was the life of the party, visiting and making people laugh or pulling them onto the dance floor to show them how it's done. She was known by so many and will be missed by all.

Puffy is survived by her children, Roland "Porky" Laducer, Brian "Jack" (Roxanne) Laducer, Jeffery (Nancy) Laducer, Terry Laducer, Travis (Leah) Laducer, Anna (Jeff) Delorme, Nellie Zerr; siblings, Jeanie Pound, Ninnie Frederick, Blue-Eyes Monette, 2D Laducer, Boston Laducer, Nicky Laducer and Debbie Jetty; 22 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren; godchild, Leigh Zerr.

Puffy is preceded in death by husband, Roger Laducer; her parents, Louis "Lefty" Frederick and Helen Parisien (Peltier); son, Michael "Joker" (Lisa) Laducer; siblings, Chuckie Frederick, Johnny Frederick, Eugene Laducer Jr., Stanley "Soldier" Frederick, and Darlene Boppre; godchild, Jeanie Brien-Parisien.

Casket Bearers are Cody Laducer, Jake DeCoteau, Michael Laducer, Sonny Laducer, Riley Laducer, Travis Laducer Jr., and Jessica Zaste.  Honorary Bearer are all family and friends. Pall placed by all brothers and sisters. Eulogy given by Anita Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  A meal will follow burial services at K.C. Hall, Belcourt, ND.
