Marvin Youngman, age 81, of St. John, ND passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Good Samaritan Center, Bottineau, ND.

Marvin BaldEagle Youngman was born on August 12, 1941 in Great Falls, Montana to Carl Elliott and Regina (Langan) Elliott.  He was raised in Great Falls and completed his education there as well.  Marvin enlisted in the United States Navy in 1960 and received an honorable discharge in 1962.  He worked both as a farm hand and for livestock auction sales for many years.  Marvin enjoyed the outdoors, learning about various plants in the wild and teaching his knowledge to many throughout the community.  He also liked reading in his spare time.  Marvin will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Marvin is survived by his sons, Neal Elliott of Marion, Montana and Shane (Jennifer) Elliott of North Pole, Alaska; four grandchildren, Dallas, Dyllyn, Austin, and Taylor; siblings, Patsy (Gary) Lancaster of Spokane, Washington and Kenny (Shirley) Langan of Bottineau, ND; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Regina Elliott and brothers, Beanie and Ronnie Elliott.
