Mark Lassonde, age 62, of Rolla, ND passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Mark Raymond Lassonde was born on June 14, 1961 in Rolla, ND to Fred and Iris (Olson) Lassonde.  He was raised in St. John and completed his education there as well.  He was the proud father of four children, Rene, Rachel, Robin, and Skyler.  Mark farmed throughout his life and took pride in his work. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He also liked to play pool, play cards, and was very athletic and competitive at softball, foosball, and basketball. Mark enjoyed time spent with family and friends.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Mark is survived by his children, Rene Lassonde of Grand Forks, Rachel Lassonde of Hannah, Robin (Lauren) Laverdure of Belcourt, and Skyler Lassonde of St. John; two grandchildren, Emmylou Kelley and Asher Laverdure; step-mother, Charlotte Lassonde of Jamestown; and siblings, Fred (Mara) Lassonde of St. John, Martin (Hazel) Lassonde of Maryland, Tammy Lassonde of St. John, and Jim "Hopper" Ward of Rolla; and many nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Iris Lassonde and a sister, Fern Midstokke.

Casket Bearers are Fred Gustafson, Leonard Gustafson, Jim "Hopper" Ward, Brian "Bud" St. Germaine, Austin Harris, Billy Mathiason, Scott Bryant, and Neil Indvik.  Honorary Bearers are Joseph Harviell and all family and friends.

A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, ND. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at St. John Presbyterian Church, St. John, ND. Burial will follow services in Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, ND.
