Marcella Crosby, age 95, of Rolla, ND passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at SMP-St Kateri Hospital, Rolla, ND.

Marcella M. Crosby was born on May 14, 1930 in Rolette, ND to Theodore and Alvina (Nolting) Karnopp.  She went to Oxford Country School and graduated from Rolla High School in 1949.  Marcella was united in marriage to Robert Crosby on January 13, 1950 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rolla.  Together they had two children, a son Blake and a daughter Jocelyn.  Marcella worked as an administrative assistant for the Rolette County Agent and Rolette County Home Extension Agent.   She also worked for the Farmers Home Administration (FHA) and Niewoehner Funeral Home for many years.  She enjoyed her time on the Arts Council, library board, secretary/treasurer for the Rolla Senior Citizens, the Star Homemakers Club, and organist at the Immanuel Lutheran Church for 75 years.  Marcella enjoyed reading, bowling and golf.  She was a big fan of the Minnesota Twins, even if they lost. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and friends that stopped in for coffee. Marcella will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Marcella is survived by her son, Blake Crosby of Fargo, daughter, Jocelyn (Daniel) Boe of Perth; grandchildren, Dr. Jill Crosby of Minneapolis, MN and Matthew (Cindy) Boe of Bemidji, MN; sister-in-law's, Deloris Karnopp and Lee Crosby; and nieces and nephews.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Alvina Karnopp, husband, Robert Crosby and two brothers, Clarence Karnopp and Howard Karnopp.

Casket bearers are Tim Timmerman, Steve Crosby, Terry Karnopp, Steve Lange, Steve Good, John McDougall, and Jim Crosby. Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rolla, ND with visitation One Hour prior to funeral service in the Church. Pastor Scott Ramey officiating.  Burial will take place at Oxford Cemetery, Rolla, ND in the spring.
