Obituary

Lisa Montriel, age 52, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Lisa Marie Montriel was born on September 18, 1971 in Belcourt, ND to Bruce and Irene (Bottineau) Bercier.  She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well.  Lisa furthered her education at Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt obtaining a master's degree in technology.  Lisa was united in marriage to Raymond Montriel on August 10, 2007 in Belcourt.  She was the proud mother of four children, Lee Jr., Stephanie, Kyle, and Alex.  Lisa loved her children dearly and was very proud of everything that they accomplished.  She was head accountant for the Turtle Mountain Tribe for many years and then bookkeeper for the Turtle Mountain Fire Department.  Lisa enjoyed cheering on the Vikings, certain that they were going to win.  She had a giving heart, always willing to lend a helping hand.  She had a soft spot for cats in her community, operating as a rescue, finding homes for hundreds of cats or keeping them herself.  Lisa loved spending time with her family members and friends.  It brought her joy to cook for her family and friends and to be outdoors gardening in her spare time.  Lisa will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Raymond Montriel of Belcourt; children, Lee Allard Jr. of Belcourt, Stephanie (Jared) Leveque of Rugby, Kyle (Krystal) Allard of Wahpeton, and Alex Allard of Belcourt; many grandchildren; adopted mother, Peggy Bercier of Belcourt; siblings, Bruce Bercier Jr. of Belcourt, Jennifer Kofmehl of Spokane, WA, Patrick Bercier of Belcourt, Gail Bercier of St. John, Joyce Delorme of St. John, Misty Bercier of Fargo, Amanda Bercier of Fargo, Teddy Bercier of Minot, Jessica Bercier of Fargo, Mary Bercier of Grand Forks, and Carla Bercier of Fargo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
