Lisa DeCoteau, age 55, of Belcourt, ND passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2022 at her home.

Lisa Kay DeCoteau was born on September 13, 1967 in Belcourt, ND to Gilbert Edward Peltier and Lorette Marie DeCoteau.  She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well.  Lisa furthered her education at Turtle Mountain Community College, obtaining an Associate Degree.  She was the proud mother of four children, Sarah, Kylene, Richard, and Jessica.  Lisa was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo, and watching Sunday football, often cheering on the Green Bay Packers.  She loved her dog, Batman, he was like another child to her. Lisa loved time spent with her family members.  She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Lisa is survived by her children, Kylene (Joel) Vivier, Richard (Brandy) DeCoteau, and Jessica (Bryne) DeCoteau, all of Belcourt; 14 grandchildren, Bradley Jr., Joel Jr., Kyler, Treytin, Mia, Sarah, Tysen, Shae Jr., Kylesha, Brylynn, Keaton, Kalyca, Richard Jr., and Madeline; a great grandchild, Auria Jo; siblings, Carol Peltier, Lea (Chuck) Waterloo, Barbara (Corey) Gores, Wanda Charette, Fern (Art) DeCoteau, Kim DeCoteau, Karen (Dave) DuBois, Joetta (Alvin) McLeod, Debbie Fleetwood, Joseph (Wanda) DeCoteau, Linus DeCoteau, Alex (Kimberly) Peltier, Pat Peltier, and Gilbert III (Patty) Peltier; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Sarah DeCoteau, and sisters, Doris DeCoteau and Gayle Ann DeCoteau.

Casket Bearers are Austin DeCoteau, Lenny DeCoteau, Joel Vivier Jr., Bradley Parisien, Mike Davis, and Bryne Morin.  Honorary Bearers are all brothers, sisters, and grandchildren.

A Visitation will begin at 5:30 PM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND.  Burial will take place in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.
