Lisa M. Allick, Wabishki Giniw "White Eagle" was born October 2, 1963 and began her journey to the Spirit World on August 12, 2022 at the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility in Belcourt ND.   Lisa was the sixth child of Maurice "Bunagee" and Dorothy (Allery) Allick.

Lisa attended and graduated from St. Ann's Indian Mission and went on to Turtle Mountain Community High School graduating with honors in 1981.  She then attended East Grand Forks Area Vocational Technical Institute (now Northland Technical College) earning a degree as a Pharmacy Technician; she was on the Presidents List several semesters.  As a Licensed Pharmacy Tech, she was employed with Indian Health Service (Belcourt), Rolla Drug, Belcourt Drug and Rolette Pharmacy.  When our mother became ill, she decreased employment hours to take care of her.  After Mom's passing, Lisa decided to change professions and worked at several different positions at the Skydancer Casino, One Stop Market, and most recently as a Custodian Engineer for the Turtle Mountain Tribe.

She was an incredibly hard worker her whole life.  She took exceptional care of the family home and grounds at Bunagee Corner.  Her passion was her vegetable garden, flower beds, and lawn.  With her garden harvest, she made pickled beets, spaghetti and pizza sauces, raspberry jam, canned vegetables and a variety of different pickles including her famous hot mix and salsa. Lisa was always willing to lend a helping hand, working at many funerals and fund-raising events.  She enjoyed visiting and socializing with her many friends; she was a great pool player playing on pool leagues with the most recent one "Lu's Crew". She liked watching horse races with a talent for picking the winners; football and trips to the casino with friends.  Many of her close friends were her "extra sisters".

Lisa treated everyone with respect.  When she said her goodbyes on July 9, she said she had no regrets and had lived her life with the motto of: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".  She was a strong woman and fought her cancer with dignity and grace.  She is a perfect example of a life well-lived and a lesson in dying with dignity.

Lisa is survived by sisters Brenda (Ike) Trottier, Holly (Terry) Allery, Renee (Jeff) Desjarlais, Betty Frederick all of Belcourt and Barb Anderson of Grand Forks ND; brothers Bert "Bud" (Lynne "Saucie") Allick, Jimmy (Sherry Jo) Allick of Belcourt and Dr. Albert Allick of Fargo ND.  Many cherished nieces and nephews and grandchildren; God Children: Trystan Tatum, Marica Allery and Kruz Martin, whom she loved dearly.

Preceded to the Spirit World by her parents, grandparents; sister Luella Allick and many other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM, Eulogy at 9:00 AM and Rosary Service at 10:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  A private family burial will be held in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
