Linus LaFountain, age 72, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Linus Gerald LaFountain was born on February 27, 1948 in Belcourt, ND to Joseph and Mary (Champagne) LaFountain.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well. Linus was united in marriage to Judy Enno on April 4, 1968 in Belcourt.  Together they raised three children, Sam, Jerelyn, and Linus Jr.  He worked as a bus driver for Belcourt Schools for many years.  Linus enjoyed going to the casino and playing pool.  He was a pool legend and had a pool table in his home that he spent hours playing on.  Linus loved time spent with his wife, Judy, and being with his family and friends, especially his grandkids.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Linus is survived by his children, Sam (Karrie McLeod) LaFountain of Belcourt, Jerelyn LaFountain of Belcourt, and Linus LaFountain Jr. of Belcourt; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Virginia LaFountain, Florence LaFountain, Dorothy LaFountain, Ramona LaFountain, Sharon LaFountain, and Benedict LaFountain; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary LaFountain, wife, Judy LaFountain, and several siblings.

Casket Bearers are grandsons, Aaron, Eric, Levi, Dante, Donovan, Mike, Mitch and Kyle.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 1:00 PM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
