Linus Azure, age 57, of Belcourt, ND passed away on September 11, 2020 at his home.

Linus Joseph "Joe" Azure was born on January 11, 1963 in Belcourt, ND to Patrick and Kathleen Azure.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well as attending Wahpeton Boarding School.  Joe was a quiet man who loved spending time with his family and his friends.  He was married and later divorced and from that marriage was the father of a daughter, Lacey, who he was extremely proud of.  Joe was a one of a kind man who had his own way of making everyone smile and laugh.  He had a wonderful relationship with his mother, Kathleen, who he had now joined.

Linus leaves behind a daughter, Lacey (Joseph) LaVallie; and two beautiful grandchildren, Jayla and Jayvius LaVallie.

Linus was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Azure and Kathleen Azure and his sisters, Lila and Iris Azure.

Honorary Bearers are Lacey LaVallie and Christopher Azure.  Music by Dave Azure, Jerry Parisien, and Ross Zaste.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with Fr. Richard Fineo presiding.  A Rosary Vigil Service will begin at 9:30 AM prior to the Mass in the church.  Burial will follow the funeral mass at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
