Obituary

Linda Williams, age 72, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Linda Louise (Malaterre) Williams was born on February 15, 1949 in Belcourt, ND to Roy and Mary (Jeanotte) Malaterre.  She was raised and completed her education in Belcourt.  Linda was united in marriage to Frank Williams and together they raised five children, Tammy, Frank, Clayton, Robin, and Chelsey.  They later divorced.  She was very supportive and loved watching all her children and grandchildren's successes.  She never missed a birthday, sporting event, graduation, or wedding for her children or grandchildren.  She looked forward to family gatherings every Sunday where they joined to visit and share a meal.  Linda was very proud of her family and enjoyed every moment they spent together.  She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Lina had multiple jobs but found her calling when she started working in food services at Turtle Mountain Community High School.  She was a very dedicated employee and continued to work there for the next 25 years.  She enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, and watching her soaps, especially Days of Our Lives.  Linda loved to travel with her family members and going out of town to shop.

Linda is survived by her children, Tammy Malaterre of Belcourt, Frank (LeAnn) Williams of Belcourt, Clayton Williams of Fargo, Robin (Adam) Nadeau of Grand Forks, and Chelsey Williams of Belcourt; four grandchildren, Torrie (Jordan "Jocko") Bruce, Kiara Williams, Jaymin Williams, and Alara Nadeau; one great grandson, Dax Bruce; mother, Mary Malaterre; siblings, Kay Malaterre, Betty Jeanotte, Susan Keplin, Paula Malaterre, Mary Jo Vincent, Alan Malaterre, Marvin Malaterre, and Maynard Malaterre; and; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Roy Malaterre, ex-husband, Frank Williams, and sister, Connie Enno.

Casket Bearers are Adam Nadeau, Brook Parisien, Jordan "Jocko" Bruce, Mike Malaterre, Patrick Enno Jr., and Sheldon Williams.  Honorary Bearers include all family, special friends, and Turtle Mountain Community School kitchen staff.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND.  Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  A meal will follow burial services at the Log Cabin in Dunseith, ND.
