Levi LaFountain, age 21, of St. John, ND passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Levi LaFountain was born on July 6, 2001 in Belcourt, ND to Duane Peltier and Jerelyn LaFountain.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well, graduating from Belcourt High School in 2019.  He furthered his education at TMCC in Belcourt obtaining an Associate of Science Degree.  Levi also graduated from the Police Academy in 2021 and obtained a Personal Training Certificate.  Aside from being a personal trainer he was recognized as a National Power Lifter.  He currently worked as a police officer for the City of Rolla and was a member of the BIA Drug Taskforce.  Levi loved taking care of his body, working out and spending time at the gym.  He was involved in wrestling in high school, setting state and national records, and was a state football player as well, being one of three to make history and run for 1000 yards for TMCHS.  Levi was often found hanging out with his brothers, his family and friends, and often traveling with them as well.  He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.

Levi is survived by his parents, Duane Peltier and Jerelyn LaFountain; grandparents, Donald Peltier and Lorraine Brunelle; and siblings, Chelsey Henry, Aaron Henry, and Eric LaFountain.

Levi was preceded in death by his grandparents, Judy and Linus LaFountain and uncle, Linus LaFountain Jr.

Casket Bearers are Eric LaFountain, Dante Davis, Mitchell Davis, Terrence Wallette Jr., Christian Azure, Sam LaFountain, and Aaron Henry.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.  A meal will follow funeral services at the Eagle Heart Center, Dunseith, ND.
