Leonard Parisien Sr., age 80 of Belcourt, ND passed away Monday October 18, 2021 at the Quentin Burdick Hospital in Belcourt, ND.

Leonard R. Parisien Sr. was born on September 15, 1941 in Belcourt, ND to John and Rose (McGillis) Parisien.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  Leonard was united in marriage to Anita Brunelle and later separated.  He was the proud father of four children Leonard Jr., Kelly, Jeff and Jolene.  He then met his longtime companion, Mable DeCoteau, who he shared most of his life with along with her children Vernon, Danny, Lanette, and the late Emil DeCoteau.  Leonard worked as a truck driver for various construction companies and a bus driver for Belcourt Schools for many years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Leonard is survived by his four children, Leonard Jr., Kelly (Gail), Jeff (Denise) all of Belcourt, ND, and Jolene Parisien of Minot, ND; companion, Mabel DeCoteau; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Vincent, James, Joe, and Raymond Parisien; and many nieces and nephews.

Leonard Sr., was proceeded in death by his parents, John and Rose Parisien, Grandson, Zachery Taylor Parisien, Granddaughter, Johanna Marie Allard, brothers, Tom, Stanley "Sonny", George, Charlie and John, and sisters, Dorothy, Helen, Lucy, Metha, Laura, Irene, Alice, and Viola.
