Leo Peltier Jr., age 60, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at his home.

Leo Peltier Jr. was born on November 22, 1959 to Leo Sr. and Mary Virginia "Tiny" (LaFrombois) Peltier.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  Leo was united in marriage to Barbara Malatarre in Wahpeton, ND and together they had raised two children, Leon and Jenna.  Leo worked various jobs throughout the years in the area.  He enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and beading crafts.  Leo loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family members and many friends.

Leo is survived by his wife, Barbara Peltier of Belcourt; son, Leon Richard (Tia) Peltier of Fargo; daughter, Jenna Peltier of Belcourt; seven grandchildren, Baylin Skye Thompson, Zena LR Thompson, Jordon Stewart Jr., Damon Peltier, Cade Peltier, Isreal Eagleman, and Kaisha Butts; and his siblings, Leonard Peltier of Florida, Richard "Spunky" (Nancy) LaFrombois of Dunseith, Linda (Robert) DeCoteau of Belcourt, Julia (Francis) DeCoteau of Belcourt, Sheila "Pokey" (Valerie) Peltier of Belcourt, Irvin (Pebbles) Peltier of Fargo, and Betty Solano of Fargo.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David "John Sack" LaFrombois, and sister, Vivian Poitra.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, ND on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.  Funeral Services are not planned at this time.
