Leo Lenoir Sr., age 78, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.

Leo Martin Lenoir Sr. was born on June 11, 1947 in Belcourt, ND to Francis and Delphine (Azure) Lenoir.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  He furthered his education at college for two years.  Leo moved around extensively in his younger years and has resided in Belcourt for the past 30 years.  He worked as a mechanic and carpenter and welder for many years.  Leo was the proud father of three sons, Philip, Leo Jr., and Keith. He enjoyed traveling, socializing, and working on cars and wood working.  Leo loved time spent with his family members and his friends. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Leo Sr. is survived by his sons, Philip (Nicole) Lenoir of Belcourt and Leo Lenoir Jr. of California; seven grandchildren; sister, Jean "Cook" Allery of Rolla; and nieces and nephews.

Leo Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Delphine Lenoir, son, Keith LaFountain, seven brothers, Roger, Louie, Bob, Dominic, Dan, Joe and Raybuck, and two sisters, Bunny and Carol.

Funeral services are planned for the spring of 2026.
