LaRose Louise Laducer was born on February 10, 1930 at home in Dunseith, ND to Francis and Eliza (Desjarlais) Baker with a midwife delivering her. LaRose had many hobbies including sewing, canning, embroidery, gardening, and quilting. Her grandchildren played a great role in her life, they made her smile, laugh, and cry. Each new adventure led to lessons learned for both the children and LaRose.

She really loved to be called, Granny, and in relation to the word, Granny, meant a kind person with love and compassion. She would give anyone coffee, a meal, or a floor to sleep or rest on. She was wo giving that over time her family size grew and grew, as most called her momma. She will be missed greatly by many.
