Lacy Azure, age 33, of Belcourt, ND passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Presentation Medical Center, Rolla, ND surrounded by her loving family.

Lacy Dawn Azure was born on November 19, 1987 in Poplar, Montana to Andrew and Tammy (Gornowicz) Azure.  She was raised in Belcourt and attended school there as well, graduating from Belcourt Schools.

After Lacy graduated high school, she spent her days socializing with er Kalix friends through playing games, holiday celebrations and watching movies, her favorite was Hocus Pocus.  Lacy loved to be outdoors swimming and riding in the golf cart and the ranger.  She had fashion and the most perfect eyebrows.  She loved to go shopping with her mom and her sister as they turned up the music, listening and visiting all the way to Minot.  Lacy was so loved by many and had a significant impact on everyone she knew.  She was our angel on earth and she lived a full and happy life.

Lacy is survived by her mother, Tammy Azure of Belcourt; sister, Erica Gunvlle of Grand Forks; brother, Jacob Azure of East Grand Forks, MN; grandfather, Vernon Gornowicz; nieces and nephews, Nicolas Azure, Jaxon Wilson, Lyllee Gunville, and Beaux Gunville; aunts and uncles, Lee Gourneau, Tim Gourneau, Sharon Ballow, Carol Gourneau, Mary Gourneau, Maxine Gourneau, Rachel Gornowicz, and Michael Gornowicz; and many cousins.

Lacy was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Azure, grandparents, Judy Gornowicz and Sylvester and Emily Azure, and aunts and uncles, Frank Gourneau Sr., Judy (Eugene) Delonais, Anna Mae (Alfred) Laducer, Larry (Jeanette) Gourneau, Stanley Gourneau, Jennifer Gornowicz, and Cynthia Gornowicz.

Music by Joe Parisien and Richard Turcotte.  Eucharistic Gifts by Erin Lambert and Tammy Ballow.  Pall Bearers are Dusty Azure, Brandon Lambert, Greg Gourneau, Gary Laducer Jr., Michael Moon, Trevor Gourneau, Jared Lambert, and Josh Wretling.  Honorary Pall Bearers are Jaxon Wilson and Nicolas Azure.  Readers are Bonnie Nadeau and Natasha Desjarlais.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 14, 2021 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM.  Burial will follow in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.  A meal will follow service at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND.
