Kenneth Peltier, age 61, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Kenneth Dean Peltier was born on February 27, 1963 in Belcourt, ND to Fred and Bernice (Peltier) Peltier. He was raised in the Belcourt area and completed his education there as well. After graduation Kenneth completed a certificate in custodial work from Job Core. He worked many places including Walmart stocking shelves, at Sky Dancer Casino, and was most proud doing janitorial work in Colorado. He was united in marriage to Valerie DeCoteau on June 13, 2007 in Belcourt, ND. Together they raised a son, Keshawn. Kenneth enjoyed doing yard work and eating at different places.  He also loved going to the casino, playing board games and dice, and watching his favorite NFL team the Seattle Seahawks. Kenneth also loved watching wrestling and was a huge fan of Stone Cold Steve Austin. He also enjoyed listening to Christian music and watching Jimmy Swaggert preach. Kenneth found joy and companionship in his dog, Shady Lady and his three cats. He especially loved spending time with his family. Kenneth will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Valerie A. Peltier of Dunseith; son, Keshawn M. Fraizer of Camp Pendelton, California; parents, Fred and Bernice Peltier of Belcourt; sisters, Cecelia Peltier of Washington, Regina Wallette of Rolla, Marilyn Peltier of Belcourt, and Julie LaVallie of Chicago, IL; father and mother-in-law, Robert (Andrea) DeCoteau; brother-in-law, Jeff (Margo) DeCoteau; sister-in-law, Sandy Peltier of Belcourt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his sisters, Sheila Jeanotte-Peltier and Bernadine Gourneau, brother, Louis Peltier, and grandparents, Prudent and Gladys (Granbois) Peltier and Fred Sr. and Cecelia (Lenoir) Peltier.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Turtle Mountain Worship Center, Belcourt, ND.  Pastor Curtis Patnaude officiating.
