Kenneth "Cowboy" Charbonneau, age 64, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Kenneth Michael "Cowboy" Charbonneau was born on April 26, 1957 in Belcourt, ND to Lionel and Genevieve (Parisien) Charbonneau.  He was raised in the Belcourt and Dunseith area, completing his education there as well.  Cowboy met the love of his life, Sandra Morin, and after 44 years together were united in marriage on April 29, 2021.  He was the proud father of Eric, Michael, Bradley, and Travis.  Cowboy farmed for many years, working closely with Adrian and James Mongeon.  He enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards and dice, and watching derby's.  Cowboy loved watching his family participate in their motor sports, demolition derby's and drag racing.  He dearly loved his family and the time they spent together, especially Cooper.  Cowboy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Cowboy is survived by his wife, Sandra Charbonneau of Dunseith; children, Eric (Aleta Peliter) Morin, Michael (Jessica Gladue) Morin, Bradley Charbonneau, and Travis (Harley Amyotte) Morin, all of Dunseith; eleven grandchildren, Kenyon Morin, Cooper Morin, Case Morin, Bryghton Peltier, Ethan Morin, Elijah Peltier, Gabriel Peltier, Chante Gillis, Zachary Bercier, Hunter Gladue,    and Everleigh Morin; great grandchild, Emmalynn Morin; siblings, Jeff (Betty) Charbonneau, Judy (Slugger) Charbonneau, both of Dunseith, and Diane Willis of MN; and nieces, and nephews.

Cowboy was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Genevieve Charbonneau, brothers, Sherman, Eugene, Dwight, and Harvey Charbonneau, and sister Kathy Dahlberg.

Casket Bearers are Josh Charbonneau, Darrell Charbonneau, Kenyon Morin, Ethan Morin, Derek Halvorson, and Beau Davis.  Honorary Bearers are Russell Halvorson, Clarence Belgarde, Randy Vivier, Gary Poitra, Jim Mongeon, Joe Mongeon, and Rolland Morin.  Eucharistic Gifts by Terry and Misty Belgarde.  Readers are Cheryl LaFloe and Barabara Belgarde.  Rosary led by Helen Parisien.  Music by Craig Lunday.

A visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Monday, May 24, 2021 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the church with Fr. Michael Slovak presiding.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  All are invited for a meal following burial at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center, Dunseith, ND.
