Kenneth Davis, age 73, of Fargo, ND passed away on Wednesday, November 30,2022 at his home.

Kenneth William Davis "Wolf Warrior" was born on August 21, 1949 in Belcourt, ND to William and Louise (Patnaude) Davis. He completed his high school education at Turtle Mountain Community Schools in Belcourt, ND where he graduated at the age of 16. He furthered his education at Bismarck Junior College and later transferred to the University of North Dakota (UND) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Public Administration, ad major in Personal Management, and a minor in Finance. Kenneth was the co-founder of UND Indian Association, where the main objective was to recruit Native Americans to UND. When he started college at UND he was one of 27 Indian students, when he left in late 1974, there was over 300.

Kenneth started working for the Bureau of Indian Affairs as the Turtle Mountain Agency's Higher Education Specialist in 1975, where he was responsible for doing financial aid packages for over 400 students annually. In 1981, he transferred to Fort Totten Agency as the Agency Superintendent of Education. Kenneth continued to hold various positions throughout the country before later returning back to Belcourt in 1996 to take a position as Superintendent of Turtle Mountain Agency, where he remained in office until retiring in 1999. He had just turned 50 years of age and had 26 years in the federal service. In 2004, Kenneth came out of retirement as he was elected the Turtle Mountain Tribal Chairman. One of the proudest accomplishments while serving as Chairman was the replacement of the new Turtle Mountain Hogh School.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Rose Henry on March 27, 1971 in Belcourt, ND. Together they had a daughter Chanel. He was also the father of a daughter Stephanie and a son Ryan. Kenneth loved to travel and go camping with his family, he spent every moment possible with them. He enjoyed playing baseball and golfing, and teasing the grandbabies. Kenneth had a special bond with everyone he shared his life with. Every day there was someone he had to call and visit with for hours. Kenneth enjoyed all the company he got. He always had a story to tell someone. He enjoyed visiting with his wife and watching tv with her. He had to watch Wheel of Fortune every weekday. They would compete to see who could solve the puzzle first and he would take great pride when it was him. Kenneth will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Rose Davis of Fargo; daughter, Stephanie (Jesse) Tikayne of Cannonball; son, Ryan (Alicia) Bruns of Mellette, South Dakota; grandchildren, Jade (Megan) Davis, Tristan Schmitz, Brandon (Sabrina) Tikayne, Justin BlackCloud, Samantha BlackCloud, Rennan Bruns, Regan Bruns, Ryker Bruns, Remi Bruns, and Ramsey Bruns; great grandchildren, Jade II, Roslyn, Kenleigh, Rya, Tristan, Aries, Bryant, Aria, and Carson; and many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Gilbert Patnaude and Magie (Brunelle) Davis; paternal grandparents Bill and Virgina (Delorme) Davis; parents, William and Louise Davis; daughter, Chanel Davis; brothers Lynn Davis, James and Allen "Kumish" Davis; Sister, Norma Jean Grant; nephew Willy Davis.

Casket Bearers are Jade William Davis, Tristan Schmitz, Darrell Lynn Davis, Leonard Hosie, Dewey Hosie, and Daniel Davis. Honorary Casket Bearers are Lenny DeCoteau, Don Yellowbird, Devon Greywater, all nieces and nephews, family and friends, and all firekeepers and drum groups. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Turtle Mountain Community College, Belcourt, ND.  Burial will take place at a later date.  A meal will follow at Turtle Mountain Community College, Belcourt, ND.
