Kalisha Rose
Thomas
Jan 19, 1999 — Dec 16, 2022
Kalisha Thomas, age 23, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 in Playa Del Rey, California.
Kalisha Rose (Hawk) Thomas born on January 19, 1999 to Curtiss and Jolene (Hawk) Thomas. She was born and raised in Belcourt, ND. Her traditional name was "Spotted Hawk Woman." Kalisha graduated from TMCHS in 2017. She then obtained her Certified Nurse Aide license. Kalisha had an adventurous soul, whether it was seeking a new opportunity or finding ways to bring happiness to others. As a toddler, it was clear that she had a spunky personality. She was a fast talker, a fast thinker, and was always on the go. She knew exactly how to burrow right into your heart. Kalisha loved her family to the fullest. Her heart, however, belonged to her brother, Caden and nephew, Sawyer. In October of 2022, Kalisha left her Turtle Mountain Tribal roots to venture out to a big city, California. Kalisha's greatest hobbies were traveling with her mama "Cindy," visiting with family and friends, singing to her nephew Sawyer and shopping. She took pride in her appearance and often teased her sisters saying, "I'm the prettier sibling." Kalisha had a beautiful soul that will forever be remembered. She will be missed and remembered by many who loved her.
Kalisha is survived by her parents, Curtiss and Jolene Thomas; sisters, Tehkaya (Nick), and Mylee; brothers, Gerald (GT) and Caden; nephew, Sawyer; grandparents, Gerald and Cindy Hawk; aunts, Christina James, Mary (Riley) DeCoteau, Cheryl (Richard) Hanlan, Nikkie (Brian) Thomas, and Trina (JR) Thomas; uncles, Dave (Gail) Thomas and Ryan Thomas.
Kalisha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Manny and Antionette Thomas, sister, Angel Thomas, brother, Curtiss Jr. (CJ), great grandparents, Anthony and Roseann Charbonneau, Joe and Edna Hawk, and uncles, Shannon James and Daniel Hawk.
