June Wilkie, age 70, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at her home.

June Karen Wilkie was born on June 9, 1955 in Belcourt, ND to Walter Sr. and Alvina (DeCoteau) LaFountain. She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well, graduating from Belcourt High School.  June was united in marriage to Ronald R. Parisien and together they had a daughter, Michelle.  She later married Albert "Joy Boy" Wilkie and together they had a son, Todd.  June was a wonderful wife, mother, and sister.  She enjoyed baking and always had something prepared for anyone who stopped by for a visit.  June liked going on shopping trips with her sisters and eating out with family and friends.  She loved time spent with her family members, especially her granddaughter, Alexis.  June will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

June is survived by her son, Todd Wilkie of Grand Forks; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Ruth (Ron) Gattke of Rolla, Lucion (Alice) LaFountain of Aberdeen, SD, Shirley Hagen of Grand Forks, Theresa (Gene) Vivier of Wahpeton, Ron (Barbara) LaFountain of Billings, MT, Cyrilla (Alfred) Vivier of Grand Forks, and Walter Jr. (Tina) LaFountain of Dunseith; and many nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter, Michelle, granddaughter, Destiny, and brother-in-law, Arlen Hagen.

Casket Bearers are Jesse LaFountain, Lucion LaFountain, Jeff "Bear" LaFountain, Norman LaFountain, Skyler LaFountain, and Tyler Wilkie. Eucharistic Gifts by Donald and Crystal Counts. Readers are Alice LaFountain, Taylor Nadeau, and Lacey LaFountain. Rosary led by Arlene Davis. Eulogy by Alice LaFountain. Music by Craig Lunday and Alvin Poitra.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 17, 2026 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
