Judy Salmeron, age 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Good Samaritan Center, Bottineau, ND.

Judy Bernadette Salmeron was born on May 31,1942 to Emil and Mary Doveline (Patnaude) DeMontigny. She was raised in Belcourt and graduated high school in Immaculate Conception High School Stephan, SD where she was proud to be named homecoming queen. Judy was the proud mother of four children Robin, Evan, Milena, and Kerry. She worked as a CAN and then at Mervyn's Distribution Center in California for 20 years. In 1995 Judy moved to the Belcourt area where she worked in the Rolette Nursing Home and Park View Assisted Living in Rolla, retiring in 2007. She was a very hard worker throughout her life and enjoyed relaxing in her spare time. Judy took pride in cleaning her home, which she enjoyed, and caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. She liked listening to country music and watching TV. Judy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Judy is survived by her children, Robin (Maria) Salmeron of Lathrop, CA, Evan (Carmen) Salmeron of Vacaville, CA, Milena Salmeron of Rolla, and Kerry (Jeanita) Salmeron of Belcourt; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Emil DeMontigny of Dunseith; and many nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Emils DeMontigny (father) and Mary Doveline (Nels) Berg (mother and step father) and siblings, Penrod DeMontigny, Stanley DeMontigny, Horace "Tippy" DeMontigny, and Betty DeMontigny.

Casket Bearers are Tyrel Davis, Kerry Salmeron Jr., Jesse Salmeron, Austin Brien, Dustin Brien, and Greg Boswell. Reader is Andela Salmeron. Gift Bearers are Robin Salmeron and Maria Salmeron. Father Davis Snow presiding.

Mass of Christian Burial for Judy Salmeron will be held at the St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Visitation will begin at 8 am, Rosary Service to follow at 9 am, and Funeral Mass at 10 am. Burial will take place in the Spring of 2024 at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
