Judd Bruce, age 49, of St. John, ND passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at St. Kateri Hospital, Rolla, ND.

Judd Adam Bruce was born on May 12, 1973 in Libertyville, IL to Richard and Karen (Runge) Nagel.  Judd was raised in Belcourt, ND and completed his education at Turtle Mountain High School in 1991.  Judd was united in marriage to Sarah Hoover on September 4, 1993 in St. John.  Together they raised two children, Vaughn and Savannah.  He lived with his family in Rolette County throughout his life and worked for Neameyer Body Shop in Rolla for 30 years.  Judd enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, camping at the lake, and going off roading with his jeep or ranger.  On occasion there was a Tannerite escapade to be witnessed and talked about in detail later.  Judd always said, "Happiness was the key to life." He liked time spent with is faithful companion, his dog, Big Buck, and loved time with his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren.  They all brought so much happiness to his life.  Judd will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Judd is survived by his wife, Sarah Bruce of St. John; son, Vaughn (Holly) Bruce of McClusky; daughter, Savannah Stringer of St. John; five grandchildren, Tallen, Thayne, Tuff, Tilly Stringer, and Jason Haas; father, Richard Nagel of Pequot Lakes, MN; mother, Karen Bruce of Rolla; and brother, Jody (Lyndsay) Bruce of Belcourt; nieces, Sydnee, Andee, and Lennee.

Judd was preceded in death by his step-father, Roger Bruce, grandparents, George and Verna Runge, Wilbert and Marie Nagel, and Robert Louis and Annie Bruce; great aunt, Madelyn Voss; and aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the St. John Community Center Gymnasium, St. John, ND. Dave Schnackenberg officiating.
