Joseph Longie, age 41, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 near Belcourt, ND.

Joseph Lee Longie was born on December 4, 1978 in Belcourt, ND to Larry Longie Sr. and Theresa (Gourneau) Longie. He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well. Joseph was united in marriage to Gina Tandeski on August 17, 2007 in Belcourt, ND. Together they had three children, Nicole, Brittany, and Bradley. Joseph worked various jobs throughout the years, including Jack and Jill in Rolla and roofing and construction jobs throughout the area. He enjoyed being outdoors, training horses, fishing, and camping. He also liked to try out is cooking skills with those he loved. Joseph loved his family members and his time spent with them. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Gina Longie of Rolla; daughters, Nicole Longie and Brittany Longie, both of Rolla; father, Larry Longie Sr. of Belcourt; siblings, Terri (Stuart) LaFountain, Robert (Patricia) Longie, Larry (Mikisha) Longie Jr., Jerry Longie, Beulah (Marvin) Bercier, all of Belcourt, Tolley Longie of Minot, and Matthew (Rose) Longie of Belcourt; Godmother, Kathy Hall of Belcourt; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Longie, son, Bradley Longie, brother, Cody Longie, grandparents, Henry and Alvina Gourneau and Robert and Beulah Longie, and Godfather, Corbert Hall.

Casket Bearers are Dustin Longie, William Karnopp, Charles Gourneau, Justin Vallie, Johathan Tandeski, and Nathan Tandeski. Honorary Bearers are all family and friends. Eucharistic Gifts by Kathy Hall and Craig Hall. Readers are Mikisha Longie and Brenda Slater. Music by Chad Marcellais. Rosary by Cindy Gourneau.

A visitation will begin at 5:30 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the church with Fr. Tony Hession presiding. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, St. John, ND.
