Jesse LaVallie, age 36, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at his home.
Jesse Jacob LaVallie was born on January 28, 1983 in Minot, ND to Brenda Wambeke and Marlin LaVallie. Jesse received his education at Turtle Mountain Community Schools in Belcourt. He grew up loving sports and started playing at a young age with his brother Jeremiah. Jesse as an all-around athlete and excelled in every sport he did. He loved basketball, football, and wrestling. His dad, Marlin, was proud to coach his son because he had a great respect and a coachable spirit. Jesse enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Vikings, play. He also enjoyed playing pool with his step-dad Jeff and sister Christianna. Jesse had a huge heart for others and his for his family. He was a great son and brother, always there for his mother to lend a helping hand. He loved to spent time with his siblings, nieces, and nephews. Jesse had a great sense of humor and made his family laugh and smile. He worked various jobs including construction with is grandfather Jack. Jesse will be greatly missed by his family members and friends.
Jesse is survived by his mother, Brenda (Jeff) Wambeke; father, Marlin (Misty) LaVallie; siblings, Allison (Graham) Miller, Melissa (Greg) Laducer, Jeremiah (Raquel) LaVallie, Angela (Francis Lee) LaVallie, Christianna (Brandon) LaVallie, and Jerzi (Peter) Baker; grandparents, Jack (Shirley) Nuzum; 14 nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louie and Helen LaVallie, nephew, Ethan Kamranian, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Casket Bearers are Troy Smith, Kody LaVallie, Greg Charette, Kobe LaVallie, Jeremiah LaVallie Jr., and Brenton Hendrickson. Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Eagle Heart Cultural Center "Log Cabin", Dunseith, ND with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Dunseith, ND in the spring.
