Jennie Huovinen, age 85, of Rolla, ND passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Presentation Medical Center, Rolla, ND.

Jennie Cleo Huovinen was born on December 9, 1935 in St. John, ND to Warren and Gladys (Haas) Cain.  She was raised in St. John and completed her education there as well.  Jennie was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Huovinen on February 20, 1954 at the farm in Rock Lake, ND.  Together they raised six children, John, Charles, Curtis, Robert "Jeff," Tina, and Tami.  Jennie worked in the produce department at Leevers Grocery Store in Rolla.  She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rolla and also the American Legion Auxiliary.  Jennie enjoyed the outdoors gardening, reading, word searches, painting ceramics, and decorating for Christmas.  She loved time spent with family and friends visiting.  Jennie will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Jennie is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Huovinen of Rolla; children, Charles Huovinen of Rock Lake, Robert "Jeff" Huovinen of Rolla, Tina (David) Walock of Lakeville, MN, and Tami Huovinen of Rolla; three grandchildren, Meghan (Bryan) Huovinen-Zuefelt, AJ Walock, and Andrew Walock; great grandchild, Sylas Huovinen-Zuefelt; and sister, Erma Mickelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Gladys Cain, sons, John and Curtis Huovinen, and brothers and sisters.

Casket Bearers are Rusty Cain, Rick Hendrickson, Chris Cain, Doug Stewart, Jim Seghers, and Mark Mattson.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.  Music by Doris Kaleva.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rolla, ND with visitation One Hour prior to services in the church.  Pastor Scott Ramey officiating.  Burial will take place in the spring at Perth Cemetery, Perth, ND.
