Jeanne Charbonneau, age 70, of Rolette, ND passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Rolette Community Care Center, Rolette, ND.

Jeanne Martha Rose Charbonneau was born on August 28, 1955 in Belcourt, ND to Julius and Laura (Gladue) Poitra.   She was raised in Belcourt and completed her education there as well.  Jeanne was united in marriage to William "Billy" Charbonneau and together they had six children, Tanya, Billie Jo, Shawn, Winona, William, and April.  Jeanne worked as a direct support professional for Kalix, which she loved.  She enjoyed coloring, Yahtzee, going to the casino, and playing candy crush.  Jeanne loved time spent with her family visiting and was a wonderful cook.  She also liked singing and dancing.  Jeanne will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Billie Jo Charbonneau of Belcourt, Shawn Charbonneau of Fargo, Winona Charbonneau of Belcourt, William (Kayla Slater) Charbonneau of Belcourt, and April Charbonneau of Belcourt; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, June Poitra, Leslie Poitra, Janice Poitra, all of Belcourt, Judy Poitra of California, and Lester Poitra of Oregon; and nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Charbonneau, daughter, Tanya Lee Poitra, brother, Louis Poitra, and sister, Linda Brunelle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, January 5, 2026 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with Rosary Service at 9:00 AM.  Burial will take place at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.
