Jeanie Parisien, age 58, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.

Jeanie Marie "Baked Beans" Parisien, the daughter of the late Gordon Brien and Sylvia (Francis) Brien, was born on December 12, 1963 in Belcourt, ND.  She grew up in Belcourt and later moved to Dunseith where she raised her children with her life long partner, Wayne Parisien.  Wayne and Jeanie were united in marriage on August 5, 1983 in Belcourt.  She was a proud mother of four girls, Ashley, Morgan, Kayla, and Shelby, and her grandchildren.

Jeanie completed her schooling in Belcourt, ND and received her 2-year at TMCC.  She worked numerous jobs, Northern Lights Casino, Belcourt Retirement Home, Turtle Mountain Daycare, and Dunseith Headstart.  She had worked for the Turtle Mountain Tribe for 20 plus years, her pride and joy was working with the children as well as cooking and caring for them, like they were her own. Jeanie had a passion for cooking, especially for family gatherings.  She enjoyed watching and playing softball with friends and family.  Her all-time favorite was her Bingo!  She also enjoyed having movie nights with her grandchildren, she loved her grandchildren more than she loved her own children.

Jeanie is survived by her husband, Wayne W. Parisien; daughters, Ashley (Robert) Poitra, Morgan Parisien, Kayla (Larry Beston) Parisien, and Shelby (Bryant Champagne) Parisien, all of Dunseith; 15 grandchildren, Zoee, Bailee, Lillee, Dalton, Drake, Cheyenne, Madison, Melanie, Myleigh Jo, Mersadie, Mejah, Mckenna, Marlee, Shaylon, and Syanna; siblings, Robert (Jeanette) Laducer, Wanda (Frank) Grant, Carl "Jackie" Brien, Roxanne Nelson, Willard "Billy" Brien, Gordon Brien, Shelly Brien, John (Lisa) Brien, Micki Brien, and Mariann Brien.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvia (Francis) Brien, Gordon Brien, mother-in-law, Doris Parisien, brother, Kyle "Opie" Brien, grandson, Ashton Wayne Delorme, niece, Tori Rae Brien, and many aunts and uncles.

Casket Bearers are Larry Beston, Bryce Parisien, Calvin LaVallie, Vincent "Sonnyman" Racine, Bryant Champagne, Geoffrey Brien, Wyatt Parisien, and Dalton Belgarde.  Honorary Bearers are all grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.  Music by Patrick "Terry" Baker.  Readers are Jennifer Mata and Stacie Laducer-Blue.  Eucharistic Gifts by Tanya Grant and Robby Parisien.  Rosary led by Geoffrey Brien and Farrah Gourneau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Dunseith, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service/Eulogy at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Dunseith, ND.
