Jason Short, age 47, of Fargo, ND passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 in Fargo, ND.

Jason Allen Short was born on October 9, 1976 in Rugby, ND to John Sr. and Carol (Charette) Short.  He grew up in Belcourt and completed his education there as well. Jason was united in marriage to Wendy Demery in Rolla and they later separated.  He was the proud father of eight children, Jason, Travis, Joaneisha, Jennifer, Jacelynn, Jocelynn, Isaiah, and an infant daughter, Jaylynn.  Jason worked in construction for many years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family members, especially his grandchildren. Jason enjoyed the outdoors riding his motorcycle, listening to music, and socializing.  He will be dearly missed by his family members and many friends.

Jason is survived by his children, Jason (Lynn) Demery of Fargo, Travis (Sarah Plant) Demery, Joaneisha (Zachary Brunelle) Demery, Jennifer (Seth Laducer) Short of Belcourt, Jacelynn Fox of Fargo, Jocelynn Fox of Fargo, and Isaiah Mayer of Belcourt; parents, John Sr. and Carol Short of Belcourt; siblings, John Short Jr. of Fargo, Natasha (Dennis) DeCoteau of Belcourt, Jordan (Jennifer) Short of Fargo, and Joey Short Sr. of Belcourt; sister-in-law, Alberta Short of Belcourt; and nieces and nephews.

Jason was preceded in death by his daughter, Jaylynn Short, brother, Jesse Short, and sister, Jennifer Short.
