Janice Morin, age 77, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026 at her home.

Janice Marie Morin was born on October 23, 1948 in Rolette, ND to Henry and Cecelia (Henry) Peltier.  She was raised in Dunseith and completed her education there as well. Janice furthered her education at Turtle Mountain College in Belcourt. She was the proud mother of three children, Brenda, David, and Daniel. Janice worked at Skydancer casino in Belcourt and also at Turtle Mountain Manufacturing in Dunseith. She enjoyed sewing, working on puzzles, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Janice will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Janice is survived by her children, Brenda (Carl "CJ") Jerome of Belcourt, David (Jennifer) Morin of Belcourt, and Daniel (Christy) Morin of Dunseith; eight grandchildren, Stacey Poitra, Chelsey Poitra, Teri Poitra, Tehya Morin, Amanda Morin, David Morin Jr., Cheyenne Morin, and Joseph Morin; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Peltier, Wesley Peltier, both of Minot, Jack Peltier, and Hank Henry, both of Washington; and nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Log Cabin, Dunseith, ND.
