Janet Bonn, age 74, of Rolla, ND passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at her home.

Janet Ann Bonn was born on December 16, 1951 in Rolla, ND to Vincent Bonn and Bernice (Henry) Church.  She was raised in Mylo, ND and completed her high school education at Rolla High School.  Janet furthered her education at Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks. She was the proud mother of six children, Laurie (Father Don Neameyer), Jamie, Kelly (Father Mark DuBois), Mandy, Bekka, and Eric. Janet was united in marriage to Mark DuBois and together had one child, Kelly DuBois. Mark and Janet later divorced. Janet was then united in marriage to Paul Lagasse and together had four children, Jamie, Mandy, Bekka, and Eric.  Paul and Janet later divorced.  She then married Paul Thomas, they later divorced. Janet was a EMT in her younger years and worked at Dacotah Bank in bookkeeping for 10 years.  She enjoyed canning, cooking, and baking.  Janet was an avid horror movie watcher and loved playing card games, especially pinochle, and board and dice games. She spent time diamond painting, scrolling through Facebook, and even feeding the squirrels around her home.  Janet also enjoyed going on drives through the country with family and friends and traveling.  She loved time spent with her family members and will be forever missed.

Janet is survived by her children, Laurie (Steve) Schumer of Manvel, Jamie (Maggie) Bonn of Sanford, NC, Kelly (Rob) DuBois of Shawnee, KS, Mandy (Greg Neumann) Haas of Niagara, Bekka (Matt) Wendland of St. Helen's, OR, and Eric (Kayla Stephenson) Lagasse of Rolla; 11 grandchildren, Matthew Schumer, Joshua Schumer, Rachel (Pat) Maher, Kayla (Duane) Schumacher, Nathan Bonn, Nicholas Bonn, Chloe Leger, Joseph Leger, Isabella Leger, Riley (Cavanna Andel) Lagasse, and Alaiyah Haas; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Dennis (Cindy) Bonn of Rolette and Curt (Cheryl) Bonn of Rolla; and nieces and nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Bonn and Bernice Church and brother, Jarvis Bonn.

Casket Bearers are Nicholas Bonn, Riley Lagasse, Alaiyah Haas, Corey Bonn, Angie Crebo, and Rachel Eback.

A visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, ND with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Rolla, ND. Father Thai Arul presiding. Burial will take place at the Bisbee Cemetery, Bisbee, ND in the spring.
