Obituary

Janelle Falcon, age 41, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at her home.

Janelle Marie Falcon was born on November 2, 1979 in Belcourt, ND to Shelly Falcon and Bruce LaFountain.  Janelle attended and completed her education in Belcourt, ND in 1998.  Upon graduation she transitioned to Santa Fe, New Mexico where her father resided.  Janelle was employed at a 5-star restaurant for three years and started her portfolio as a model.

Janelle traveled to various places and eventually moved back to the Turtle Mountain area, where she met the love of her life, Waylon.  They made their home in Rolette and began their family with Bree and Bryn.  Soon after, Janelle decided to begin her life as a stay at home mother.  Her hobbies included traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and her friends, especially time with her Grandma, Loretta.  She had a soft heart for others and had an uplifting personality with a beautiful smile.

Janelle is survived by her children, Bree and Bryn Keplin of Belcourt, her mother, Shelly Laverdure of Belcourt, her father, Bruce (Marlyn) LaFountain of New Mexico, siblings, Peter LaVallie Jr., Brittany Laverdure, Eve Lauren (Jon) LaFountain, Brian (Brooke) Goff and Dylan LaFountain; grandmother, Loretta Falcon; aunts and uncles, Sherry Falcon-Poitra, Kim (Stewart) Azure, Denise Falcon, Ashley (Bryan) Vivier, Ed (Yvette) Falcon, Presley LaFountain, Perry (Judy) LaFountain, Sheila (Ken) Davis, Alfred LaFountain, Michelle (Tracy) LaFountain, Dana (Ricky) Thomas, and Stuart (Teri) LaFountain; and her loving friend, Waylon Keplin; many nieces and nephews as well.

Janelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Stella LaFountain and Arlon Falcon, brother, Jesse LaVallie, and aunts, Janelle LaFountain and April LaFountain.

A private family funeral mass will be held on December 14, 2020 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND.  Only immediate family will be present for funeral services due to the Covid-19 pandemic and masks are required to be worn at all times.
