Jamie Scott Trottier, age 54, of Fort Scott, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, at his home.

Jamie Scott Trottier was born on December 9th, 1968, in Rolla, ND to William and Claudia Trottier.  He was raised in Rolla, ND and attended school in Rolla, ND.    While in Rolla, ND, Jamie worked for Various Farmers in the Area.   One of Jamie's greatest moments was the birth of his Daughter Jalissa Lynn and then his Granddaughter Brielle Vieno.  He was a proud Father, Grandfather and Uncle.

Jamie moved to Oklahoma in 2013 to escape the cold ND winters with April, his long-term partner, in 2019 they moved to Fort Scott, Kansas to be closer to her family.  Jamie worked at Value Merchandisers as a Stack Station Operator at the time of his passing.

Jamie was preceded in death by his mother; Claudia Trottier, his maternal grandparents Heino and Vieno Herrala; his paternal grandparents Henry & Evelyn Marcotte & William Trottier, Sr.; his uncle Timmy Trottier.

His Ashes will be laid to rest at the Finnish Cemetery, near Perth, ND by his mother; Claudia Trottier and his maternal grandparents, Heino and Vieno Herrala.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, ND, visiting hours begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to funeral services.  Father Thai Arul presiding.  Burial will follow services at the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery, Towner County, ND. A meal will be held at the Methodist Church in Rolla, ND following burial services, all are welcome to join family members for lunch and fellowship in Jamie's memory.
