James Morin, age 50, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

James Paul Morin was born on February 25, 1971 in Belcourt, ND to Paul and Shirley (Laverdure) Morin.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  James worked in Dunseith at TM Chip Tronics until 2006.  He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and playing games on his phone.  He loved time spent with his nieces and nephews, having a great sense of humor, always joking with family and friends.  James spent a lot of time in the hospital and in turn got to know many of the nurses and nurse aide's in Belcourt, Bismarck and Mandan at Sunset Drive a Prospera Community.  He will be lovingly remembered by his family and many friends.

James is survived by his siblings, Paula (Steven) Hunt of Dunseith and Carla (Bert) Parisien of Belcourt; nieces and nephews, Shenoa Prouty, Tyler Parisien, Duran Parisien, Stephanie Hunt, Kylie Parisien, and Blair Parisien; and great nieces and nephew, Isabella Prouty, Hailey Prouty, and Asher Marion.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Shirley Morin, grandparents, Bill and Delima Laverdure and Moses and Mary Morin, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Casket Bearers are Tyler Parisien, Blair Parisien, Duran Parisien, Rick Laverdure, Randy Rogers, and Richard Nadeau.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.  Music by Alvin Poitra.  Rosary led by Linda Davis.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and rosary service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery in the spring of 2022.
