Howard Good, age 79, of Rolla, ND passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026 at his home.

Howard Emit Good was born on May 31, 1946 in Rolla, ND to Emit and Norma (Dahl) Good.  He was raised in Rolla and completed his high school education in Belcourt.  Howard enlisted in the United States Army National Guard in 1967 and received an honorable discharge.  He was united in marriage to Renae Bertsch on November 24, 1967 in Cando, ND.  Together they raised a son, Wade and a daughter, Tami.  Howard worked as a farmer throughout his life, loving his time spent on the farm outdoors and riding in the tractor.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, his wife, grandchildren, great grandchild, as well as visiting with his friends daily at Mears Implement or the elevator in town.  Howard was a collector of toy tractors and guns.  He liked watching his westerns and the Price is Right on television. Howard will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by many.

Howard is survived by his wife, Renae of Rolla; son, Wade (Leah Azure) Good of Rolla; daughter, Tami (John) Olson of Rolla; grandchildren, Jonathan (Mary) Olson, Joshua Good, Eric Good, and Brandon (Jessica) Olson; great grandchildren, Everleigh and Emersyn; sister-in-law's, Cheryl (Curt) Bonn of Rolla, Roxann (Lowell) Huovinen of Joshua, TX, Colleen Bertsch of Lake Upsilon, and Cindy Bertsch of Trout Creek, MT; and many nieces and nephews.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Emit and Norma Good, his grandparents, father and mother-in-law, Tom and Lyla Bertsch, brother-in-law's, Lee Bertsch and Cordell Bertsch, and aunts and uncles.

Casket Bearers are Stephen Bonn, Tom Good, Tony Good, Raymi Hendrickson, Ross Good, and Brent Kurtti.

A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, ND with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM at Rolla Presbyterian Church, Rolla, ND on Monday, March 9, 2026.  Dave Schnackenberg officiating.  Burial will take place at Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, ND in the spring.
