Gregg LaVallie, age 47, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.
Gregg Willis LaVallie was born on August 7, 1973 in Belcourt, ND to Gregory and Elizabeth (Champagne) LaVallie. He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well, graduating from Belcourt High School in 1992. He furthered his education at Turtle Mountain Community College and completed his mechanic certificate from Quentin Burdick Job Corps Center. Gregg enjoyed working on his truck, a 1988 Dodge. He loved spending time with his family members and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. Gregg liked to travel to different places, including Guam, Texas, Alaska, Tennessee, Maine, Montana, Illinois and Colorado, to name a few places. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
Gregg is survived by parents, Gregory and Elizabeth LaVallie; brothers, Alfred LaVallie and Darrell LaVallie; sisters, Geneva (Dennis) Hunt and RoxAnne (June) LaVallie-Unabia; and many nieces and nephews.
Gregg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Victoria (Valle) Champagne, Alfred and Mary P. (Amyotte) LaVallie, and Mary Amyotte, nephew, Dahl LaVallie, and many aunts and uncles.
Honorary Bearers are all family and friends. Eulogy by RoxAnne LaVallie-Unabia. Casket Bearers are Radlee LaVallie, Kayla LaVallie, Stacy LaVallie, Richard Robillard, Stanley Champagne Jr., Donald Counts, Sean Unabia, and Joseph Unabia. Readers are Stephanie Darrow and Shirley Morin. Eucharistic Bearers are Sandra Champagne and Ryann Unabia. Honorary Casket Bearers are Darrell LaVallie Jr., Jessica Hunt, Chris Morin, Darwin Belgarde, George LaVallie, Gary LaFontain, Dennis Hunt, and June Unabia.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass. Father Tony Hession presiding. Burial will follow services in St. Benedict's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND.
