Gloria Davis, age 67, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 at her home.

Gloria Jane Davis was born on July 15, 1952 in Belcourt, ND to Elmer F. Davis Sr. and Florence Azure-Davis. She was raised in Belcourt and competed her education there as well. Gloria did not have children, but was very close to her nieces and nephews. She had four sisters, Jeannie (Dave) Lohnes, Marlene (Richard) Schroeder, LouAnne Davis and Roberta (Rod) Davis, and five brothers, Curtis (Cheryl) Davis, Elmer (Gaileen) Davis, the late Michael Shane Davis, Blaine (Paula) Davis, and Wayne (Ronette) Davis.

Gloria worked at the pull tab department for the tribe for 37 years and was recently employed with the Sky Dancer Casino as a receptionist. Gloria enjoyed playing casino, cooking, canning, spending time with her family, and was known by many to have a kind and loving heart.

Gloria was Godmother to Kyle LeBeau, Derrick Lohnes, Lyle Davis, Sabrina Davis, and Little Joe Handy.

Gloria will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Gloria is survived by her siblings, stepchildren, and step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Florence Davis, paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Jane Davis and John B. and Mary Jane Azure, bother, Michael Shane Davis, and special friend, Corbert Hall.

Rosary led by Maureen Williams, Elvina Jeanotte, and Mona Davis. Eulogy given by Janie Schroeder Herman and Tanya Houle. Readers are Annette Charette and Vita Belgarde. Music by Lambert Azure, Dicky Schroeder, Kyle LeBeau, Tyler and Clayton Davis. Spiritual leaders are drum group are Andy Laverdure and Verlin DuBois. Blessings given by Fr. Dennis Mary Dugan, SOLT. Urn Bearers/Fire Keepers are Michael Houle, Zakkary Houle, Gregory LeBeau, Shayne Davis, Mark Houle Sr., Mark Houle Je., Curtis "Digeye" Davis, Dicky Schroeder, Clayton Davis, Kyle LeBeau, Jacob Davis, and Dennis Keplin.

Wake services will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND.
