Glenn Vivier, age 63, of Dunseith, ND passed away on Friday, Feburary 11, 2022 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.
Glenn Samuel Vivier was born on June 2, 1958 to Sylvester "Peeyashee" Vivier and Rose Grant in Belcourt, ND. Glenn went to school in Belcourt, attended college there also, and resided in the Turtle Mountains most of his life. He lived and worked in Grand Forks for many years doing carpentry, painting, custodial and maintenance work. Through the years he held many jobs and had an interest in many different things. He traveled and would stay here and there, but his love for life made him up for anything and always willing to help. His heart was made of gold and his intensions were always the best. Glenn enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, learning about history, playing guitar, going to concerts, and fishing. He was always up for a visit. Glenn will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
Glenn is survived by his son, Tom (Malleri) Vivier of Mandan; mother, Rose (Grant) Berg of Rolette; sisters, Carla (Vivier) Schroeder of Dunseith, Carleen (Tom) Winfrey of Kingmen, AZ, and Gladys (Mike) Azure of Rolette; brothers, Dale (Judy) of Bismarck and Sylvester (Pam) of Bismarck; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Glenn was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal granparnts, father, Sylvester "Peeyashee" Vivier, brothers, Lyman Vivier, Gary Vivier, Bryan Vivier, and Darryl Vivier, sisters, Mary Margaret Vivier and Beverly Vivier, Godson, Alfred J. Schroeder Jr., and his nephew, Darrell G. IronShooter Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Fiddler's Hall, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM. Burial services will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.
