Glenn Trottier, age 69, of St. John, ND passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in Minot, ND.

Glenn James Trottier was born on October 27, 1951 in Belcourt, ND to Patrick and Mary Agnes (Patnaude) Trottier. He was raised in St. John and completed his schooling there as well.  Glenn worked various jobs throughout his life; from serving in the United States Marine Corps, to professional welding, roofing, and licensed furniture moving, as well as completing work in handling livestock for transport. At home, Glenn was an all-around handyman where he solved plumbing/carpentry problems and was also adept at varied car repairs. In his younger years, Glenn enjoyed many sports among which basketball and wrestling were favorites. He used his sports skills later in life to coach middle school basketball for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and for various teams competing in the city league operated through the Heisey Community Center. Glenn enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, going to casinos, playing cards and games with family, and hunting. He was a self-taught artisan and made beautiful willow canes and Indigenous flutes in his spare time. He played his flutes with grace, love, and natural talent. Glenn will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Glenn is survived by his three children, Craig Trottier, LaRon Trottier, and Coleen Trottier; five grandchildren, Whitney Rose Trottier, Luke Quick, Dennis Davis, Victoria Davis, and Isiah Davis; and his siblings, Richard (Diane) Trottier, Verna Simmons, John (Linda) Trottier, Joseph Trottier, Kenneth Trottier, Burton (Lilllian) Trottier, and Robert (Kathy) Trottier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Trottier and Mary Agnes Wheeler, and siblings, Joyce Snowden, Ronald Trottier, George Trottier, Sylvia McGillis, Frances Azure, and Joan Bryant.

Funeral Services will be held in the spring of 2021.
