Geraldine Strietzel, age 75, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Geraldine Marie "Jerie" Strietzel was born on September 13, 1950 in Belcourt, ND to Joseph N. Wilkie Sr. and Agnes (Belgarde) Wilkie.  She was raised in Belcourt and attended elementary school in Wahpeton, graduating from Belcourt High School in 1969.  She furthered her education at Turtle Mountain Community College.  She was united in marriage to Clinton "Butch" Strietzel in 1974.  Jerie was a proud mother of a son, Cole and a daughter, Lacey. Jerie worked at the William Langer Jewel Plant in Rolla for 20 years.

Jerie loved being with family and she was a true dog lover, often finding and picking up strays.  Jerie enjoyed sewing, baking and tending to her yard. Throughout the last chapter of her life, Jerie shared her life with her significant other, Marvin Schmaltz, creating many memories together, often dancing, one of her favorite pastimes. She took great pride in her home, her yard, and herself, a very classy and cherished lady to many.  Jerie will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, significant other, sister, and many nieces and nephews.

Geraldine is survived by her son, Cole (Shenna) Strietzel of Mandan; daughter, Lacey (Daniel Belgarde) Strietzel of St. John; six grandchildren, Axel, Maverick, Maizy, Damian Bryor, McKenzie, and Alaina; sister, Marlene (Norman) Jay of Lake Upsilon; and many nieces and nephews.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes Wilkie, brothers, James, Patrick, Oscar, Sr., Joseph Jr., Carl, Earl, Dennis, and Richard, sisters, Irene Zaste, Doris Undersher, Delima Roy, Lillion Roy, Suzie Smith, and Marsha Wallette, nephew, Oscar Wilkie Jr., and niece, Rhonda Schauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND in the spring.
