Gerald Wallette, age 69, of Rolla, ND passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Good Samaritan Society in Oakes, ND.

Gerald Patrick Wallette was born on February 18, 1956 in Belcourt, ND to Patrick Wallette and Ruth DeMontigny.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well, graduating from Belcourt High School.  He furthered his education, obtaining a barber certificate.  Gerald held a strong catholic faith and was very religious throughout his life, considering becoming a priest at one time in his younger years.  He loved recreational activities with his family and friends, being outdoors camping, and going out to eat with family.  Gerald meant a lot to his family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Gerald is survived by aunt, Bernice Robbins; special friend, Danny Manston; and nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Wallette and Ruth DeMontigny and siblings, Martin Desjarlais, Shirley Desjarlais, Betty Desjarlais, Lois LaFromboise, and Doris Wallette.

Casket Bearers are Mathew Desjarlais Jr., Walter Schroeder IV, Jonathan Wallette, JohnRoss Desjarlais, James Longie, and Kyle LaFontaine.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends. Eulogy by Karen Schroeder and Gabrielle Wallette.

A visitation will begin at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND with a Rosary Service at 8:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. John, ND.  Father Richard Fineo presiding.  Burial will follow funeral services at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, ND. A meal will follow services in the church basement; all are welcome to attend.
