Gerald "Jerry" Rosscup, age 95, of Perth, ND passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Rolette Community Care Center, Rolette, ND.

Gerald Richard "Jerry" Rosscup was born on March 28, 1930 at home in Perth, ND to Kenneth "Mike" and Rosanna (Guedesse) Rosscup.  He was raised in the Perth area, attending Oxford Township Country School and finishing his education at St. John High School.  Jerry was united in marriage to Winifred Brekke in November of 1951 and together they had three children, Daniel, David, and Sherry.  They later divorced.  Jerry lived in Perth, ND for many years where he farmed and did excavating and backhoe jobs for many.  He was a jack of all trades, able and willing to help out with electrical and plumbing needs when needed. He also drove school bus for Rolla for many years and as well as working in Montana in his younger years, as a bus driver for the fire department, driving the fire fighters where they were needed. Jerry invited many in the community and surrounding areas to his property in Perth where they enjoyed dancing at "the Depot" and to marvel at his carnival rides that he had set up. His adventurous spirit was shown when he flew and many times crashed his homemade airplane.  He loved music, singing and playing guitar.  He took pride in the Hawk Museum days in the summer and was the director for over 20 years. His loving companion of over 30 years, Carol Schoening, joined him in his adventures at home and together they traveled as snow birds to Texas for over 20 years where they enjoyed more music, dancing, and laughter. Many family members and friends enjoyed visiting with Jerry and listening to his storytelling.  Jerry loved to have a coffee at his kitchen table with friends and neighbors, many of whom he considered family.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all.

Jerry is survived by his companion, Carol Schoening of Rolla; son, Daniel (Christine) Rosscup of Calgary, Manitoba; daughter, Sherry (Norm) Cavers of Melita, Manitoba; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and two nieces and a nephew.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth "Mike" and Rosanna Rosscup, son, David Rosscup, great grandson, Jared Kishpaugh, great great grandson, Brody Schreiner, daughter-in-law, Sandra Rosscup, daughter-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" Rosscup, sister, Karen Berginski, and nephew, Garrett Berginski.

A graveside burial will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, ND.
