Gerald Poitra, age 32, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Gerald Lee "Punter" Poitra was born on December 7, 1989 in Belcourt, ND to Curtis Poitra Sr. and Brenda Lattergrass.  He was raised in Fargo, Belcourt, and Minot areas.  Gerald worked in construction.  He was the proud father of two children, Parnell and Makayla.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Gerald is survived by his children, Parnell Rodman and Makayla Rodman, both of Minot; father, Curtis Poitra Sr. of Belcourt; siblings, Jerusha (Paul) Olthoff of Minot, Bobbie (Bill) Lattrergrass of Minot, Abigail (Danny) Lattergrass of Minot, Curtis Jr. (Kyla) Poitra of Belcourt, Levi (Jenny) Lattergrass of Parshall, and Brent Gourneau of Minot; and many nieces and nephews.

Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda (Demery) Lattergrass and brother, Nathaniel Poitra.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Dunseith, ND with visitation beginning at 8:30 AM and Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.
