George E. St. Germaine, age 68, of St. John, N.D passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at his home.

George St. Germaine was born on August 14, 1954 to Robert W. and Laura (Venne) St. Germaine. He attended school in St. John and graduated from St. John high school 1972. George furthered his education at Long Beach State in California for two years, working towards an art degree. He was a highly skilled master carpenter for all of his adult life, completing many projects, big and small. George was a wonderful artist, drawing, painting, and using charcoals in his artwork. He and his brother Pat raced horses for a time in both Belcourt and Winnipeg, winning the North Dakota derby in 1998 at Assiniboia downs in Winnipeg. Their filly Sinfirly Good held the 5f track record at Chippewa Downs in Belcourt for 10 years. George will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

George is survived by his siblings, Pat (Annie) St. Germaine of Belcourt, Bill St.Germaine of Valley City, Flora (Cliff) Golemon of Yachats, Oregon, Pete (Jane) St.Germaine of St. John, Jim St. Germaine of Portland, Oregon. Many nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents and sister Judy Finch.
