Gary Ravnaas, age 75, of Rolla, ND passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at his home in Rolla, ND.

Gary Monroe Ravnaas was born on July 12, 1949 in Harvey, ND to Arvin and Helen (Olenberger) Ravnaas.  He was raised in Maddock, ND and completed his education there as well, graduating in 1968.  Gary was united in marriage to Judy Ann Lucke on August 2, 1974 at the Presbyterian Church in Rolla.  Together they raised two daughters, Chelsie Jo and Lindsay.  Gary worked for Wilbur Ellis for 10 years before retiring and previously held many jobs including working in the oil fields for a few years.  He was a life-long member of the Rolla Fire Department spanning 50 years, joining in 1974.  Gary enjoyed working on his cars, especially his 1987 Camaro.  He was always willing to visit with those he came in contact with, sharing stories and experiences that he had throughout his life.  Gary loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, as well as his black lab, "Smokey Joe." He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family and many friends throughout the community.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Chelsie Jo (Chris) Smith of Fargo and Lindsay (Jamie) Wessels of Rolla; six grandchildren, Austin Ravnaas, Taylor Hoover, Tanley (Kyle) Azure, Ayden (Chloe) Gourneau, Dane Wessels, and Kenner Wessels; and special friend, Patty McCloud of Minnewaukan, ND.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Arvin and Helen Ravnaas and his wife, Judy Ann Ravnaas.

Urn Bearers are all Rolla Fire Department Volunteer's.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Presbyterian Church, Rolla, ND.  Dave Schnackenberg officiating.
