Francis Charette, age 67, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at his home.

Francis "Crow" Charette was born on March 18, 1959 in Belcourt, ND to Patrick and Wilhelmina (Warren) Charette.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  Francis furthered his education at Turtle Mountain College for two years.  He worked in construction for many years.  Francis enjoyed being outdoors cruising around and watching sports. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed the companionship of his cat, Kittiman.  Francis loved spending time with his family members and will be greatly missed by them all.

Francis is survived by his children, Mary (Keith) Mathiason of Belcourt and Robin (Liz) Lenoir of Nay-Tah-Waush, MN; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Darrell (Joyce) Charette of Belcourt, Pete Charette of Belcourt, Carol (John) Short of Belcourt, Renee Charette of Belcourt, Robert Charette of Belcourt, Kris Ann Stevenson of Fargo, and Curtis Charette Sr. of Belcourt; and many nieces and nephews.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Wilhelmina Charette.

Casket Bearers are Pete Charette, Curtis Charette Jr., Warren Stevenson, Keaton Nadeau, Chase Brunelle, Lukas DeCoteau, and Curtis Charette Sr.  Honorary Bearers are all family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 24, 2026 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a visitation beginning at 8:00 AM and a Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
