Francis Baker, age 72, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Belcourt Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Francis Rueban Baker was born on April 21, 1948 at home in Belcourt, ND to Eugene Laducer and LaRose (Baker) Laducer.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  Francis furthered his education in Fresno, California obtaining a degree in archetectual drafting.  He worked for many years at the commodity warehouse in Belcourt.  Francis enjoyed restoring old furniture.  He made birdhouses and took old wooden television cabinets and made toy boxes for kids.  He liked to draw and to spend time with his companion and dog "Gibbs".  Francis had a wonderful sense of humor and could always say something to make you laugh.  He was a gifted carpenter but didn't truly believe he had the gift.  Francis will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his family members and many friends.

Francis is survived by his sisters, Connie Baker and Lois (Brian) Bercier and brothers, Matt Laducer and Christopher Laducer.

He was preceded in death by his mother, LaRose Laducer, father, Eugene Laducer, son, Lymen Delorme, sister, Carol LaRocque, brothers, Tim Baker and Anthony Laducer, and aunties, Mary Jane, Emma, Lorraine, Sylvia, Clara, and Violet.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND.  Father Richard Fineo presiding.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
