Edwin DeCoteau, age 64, of Belcourt, ND passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck, ND.

Edwin Patrick "Casey" DeCoteau was born on March 17, 1958 in Belcourt, ND to Edwin "Snookie" and Deloris (Laducer) DeCoteau.  He was raised in Belcourt and completed his education there as well.  Edwin enlisted in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge.  He was the father of two daughters, Angie and Debra.  Edwin worked as a truck driver for Atlas Van Lines for many years.  He enjoyed swimming, fishing with his mother, and artwork including beading and leather work.  Edwin had a wonderful sense of humor, often joking with family and friends.  He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Edwin is survived by his daughters, Angie DeCoteau of Belcourt and Debra DeCoteau of Grand Forks; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Shannon (Irene) Gladue of Crookston, MN, Bryan (Lori Poitra) DeCoteau of Belcourt, Joyce Attlberg of Seattle, WA, and Gloria (Frank) Rocha of Grand Forks; and many nieces and nephews.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph Blue.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND with a Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass.  A meal will follow funeral services at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Belcourt, ND. Burial will take place in the spring.
