Edward Linus Davis, age 82, of Belcourt, ND, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital, Belcourt, ND.

Edward Linus Davis was born on May 18, 1944, in Belcourt, ND, to Vinier and Virginia (LaVallie) Davis. He was born and raised in Belcourt. He completed his education in Belcourt and at Wahpeton Indian School. Edward was united in marriage to Brenda Lilley on July 9, 1983, in Belcourt. Together, their family included eleven children: Barbara, Rickie, Michael (Troutdale, Oregon), Steven, Kelly, Debbie, Lori, Michael (Belcourt, ND), Kurt, Eric, and Shanna.

Edward was a loving and knowledgeable husband, father, and grandfather, always ready with quick wit and humor, always offering good advice through the years. He worked many jobs, including as a carpenter and bus driver. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, golfing, and taking a quick drive with Brenda by his side, as he always drove her around. Edward loved family time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, which brought him so much joy. He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.

Edward is survived by his wife, Brenda Davis; children, Rickie DeCoteau, Michael Davis (Troutdale, Oregon), Steven Davis, Kelly Davis, Debbie Scherr, Lori Davis, Michael Davis (Belcourt, ND), Kurt Lilley, Eric Davis, and Shanna Davis; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Davis, Vinier Davis Jr., Terry Davis, Raymond Vondal, Joe Vondal, Nancy Azure, and Karen Davis; and nieces and nephews.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Barbara Haar, brothers Carl, Clark, and Chugger Davis, and sister Mary Ann Davis.

Funeral Services: Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 10:00 am at Negaani Benesi Roundhouse, located next to the Belcourt Pow Wow grounds.
